Chasing trout in high water..
« on: September 04, 2021, 10:05:41 am »
Finally after several days of rain we finally had a nice Spring day so I headed of to check out one of my regular large rivers only to find it running too high for safe wading.
I did spend a little time there flicking a #1 Aglia-e inline spinner around before heading off to my favorite & ever reliable small tannin stream.
That was also running high, much high than my previous trip a week ago,, anyway I spent some time in it and caught & released a few wild browns thanks to the small Mepps #00 White Miller Bug spinner.

cheers
Adrian..

Some beaut little stretches of water there, Adrian, and nice wee fish.  Hope you didn't overdo it, wading in the fast current!

Thanks Paul, it's a beautiful little out of the way stream and no I didn't over do like I normally do.. Gave it away before I became too sore in the lower back..

I was at the doctors the next morning for my last dose of injections in the back, next dose is on the 10th September.. I'm feeling reasonably good for now..  thumbsup1

cheers
Adrian..

Hi Adrian
Re your back injections, I had a CT Guided cortisone injection in L4/5 two weeks ago for chronic back pain that mainly manifested in severe right hip pain.

Question? are your injections working? Mine did for about 10 days then the pain came back. I thought we could only have one injection?

Its a bugger getting old. But I don't like the options!  laugh1 laugh1 laugh1 laugh1 laugh1

Cheers

The pain never goes away Hank with chronic back problems.. the injections only help to ease the pain for a short time..

I've been having them for 10 years now, each year the back gets a little worse.. My L3, L4 &L5 discs are not in very good condition at all..

Now I'm about to go on the waiting list to see a spine specialist or neurosurgeon to see what the come up with.

The treatment I have is prolotherapy injections..

cheers
