Thought I would show what I am fishing at the moment. Iv got a 4.5m Polycraft Cuddy Cabin with a 60hp etec. Most of the times iv had it out lately has been out of Port Sorell as I have just moved down to Squeaking Point.

I also have a little fibreglass cat, which I throw on the back of the ute if I am going camping somewhere I don't want to tow a trailer. Its got a little 3.5 which is nice and easy to launch by myself.

I have been thinking about trading the Polycraft for something with a bit more usable space, either a side or centre console. Has anyone been out on a Makocraft before? This one has caught my eye, but I haven't heard many peoples opinions on them.

Any info or advice on what to look for, or what you prefer with centre or side console boats would be appreciated as the Poly craft is the first boat I have owned.

Come up and say gday if you see me out and about.

Can't go wrong with that thing mate!

I looked at a polycraft as my first boat but was abit over the budget.  I have heard they handle well!

I had a 4.55 cuddy before my current boat loved it not a lot of room but very safe for its size I even caught a few tuna in it if I would happily have another one

Yeah its really stable but I find it a bit too buoyant while underway. Doesn't really cut through the waves. But in saying that it is a fantastic boat. Perfect for when Im fishing solo, just need a bit more room when we have a couple more guys or a bit of extra gear like a shark line or dive gear.
