Headed out 6.30 am sunday morning for a bit of a bottom bash. Hadn't been in marion for a good year or so so tried several spots from 15mtrs to 42mtres.
Plenty of just under flatties and heaps of mackeral.
Managed 15 size flatties a arrow squid and kept about 5 mackeral.
Hooked up to a heavy headshaking something that we reckon might have been a gummy that  broke the hook off.

Does anyone smoke mackerel? I have been going to do that in my Webber for some time but since my deckie moved to Bega I have not been out.   doh1 doh1 doh1
