This trip was yesterday, dark tannin water after recent rain was the reason I headed to this river. Once there I found it was much darker than I would have preferred it to be. Still spent several hours in it chasing trout which were few & far between. It was foggy when I first hit the water, it didn't last all that long which was good. I'll certainly be heading back there in a week or two, shame the solid 835 gram brown couldn't be released due to gill damage. I dropped it off to a dear old lady up the road from us who originally comes from Scotland.. She loves her trout.. All six trout were taken on Mepps Aglia Furia & Black Fury lures..
As much as I hate the blackberry bushes that are spreading across the land here Tassie, this is the only time of the year they're useful..
