7 lakes in 3 days
« on: October 29, 2018, 02:05:52 pm »
Headed off on a 2 nighter with the old boy wednesday 24th to fish a couple of lakes he hasnt fished before. Arrived at nineteen lagoons around 11 and fished ada  botsford and double lagoon. No fish but that was expected due to weather, time frame and lack of local knowledge.
After a good eyeball and nearly stepping on a tiger snake we headed for little pine and threw out the swags.  Dropped the boat in and picked up three. Happy with that sat back round the bush tele for a while.
Next morning pointed to st clair and fished the basin for 8 in 3 hours. Magic spot. Threw the boat back on and headed for large bay at echo. Another 3 fish in teal bay. Nothing more than about 400mm so most went back. Moved to middle ramp, lit the fire, cleaned up the mess the last grubs had left and cracked a red.
Next morning headed to dee lagoon. Found 1 nice rainbow about 2lb ready to travel back to the pan.  Home by 3  what lucky people we are to be able to have access to such perfect spots.

Cripes, you covered some country over your long weekend!

Thanks for the report; good to hear some news of the lakes.  Sounds like Little Pine is starting to move a bit, and your 8 in three hours in the St Clair basin is definitely good going.  Might have to go and try one or two of those myself soon!

Cheers   goodjob1
