Last of the winter flatties
« on: September 30, 2018, 07:41:57 pm »
After a long, long season of kids football and soccer we finally got a weekend up the coast. Managed a fish yesterday before the grand final and another today happydance1

Shot up of Plain Place Beach yesterday but when the wind got too much headed back into Okehampton. Not a pretty site with all those fish pens now either furious1

Had to pick thru them but managed a feed and got ourselves back in time to watch the bounce with a couple of fresh flattie sambo’s cool1

After a later start today drinks1 drinks1 we shot down past Stapleton and picked up a few cala’s. Wind changed a bit after 11 so moved down to Rheban and tucked up into a little corner bagging a few more. Then the NE came in cry1 which which made the fishing a bit more of a challenge so headed off into the passage, deployed the sea anchor and surprisingly managed to pick up a few good size flatchaps.

Home, clean up the gear and ready to do it again next weekend fish1
