I reckon I'd be putting a seal on the deck 1st if you want it to last. Once you've done that any quick grip glue should do. Apply both sides, let it get tacky to touch, then lay.
What has 4,882km's of coastline? think1

I agree.  Just because it's called "marine" ply doesn't mean it won't suck up moisture and de-laminate over time.  Slosh a good couple of coats of a two-pack epoxy sealant all over the wood first - and especially into all the cut edges - then any contact adhesive will glue your carpet down nicely.  I generally use an aerosol spray one, because I think it gets a better, more even coverage - but that's just a personal preference.

Thanks for the replays guys I sealed it and then used a sika marine adhesive glue. Very strong but no cheap at $23 a bottle. Here are some pics of how it it's getting along. Mind all the screws and washers as they are only there to help the edges while the glue dries, cheers Blake

Putting a seal on the deck wasn't quite what I pictured when I read the first line laugh1

Not yet, will update once more has happened. Took it for a test run on the Derwent, not the fastest of boats but rides well.

Hi there,
cant help but think that after all of that great effort and fine workman ship, and it does look great!
You may next think about that perfect motor to top the job off, ie, 10hp four stroke shorty, what a rig, good one.
I need to sort something like this out for my fly fishing tinny. goodjob1

Yeah it is, just seeing if i can get any interest in it. Wanting a bit more horsepower, might just have to bite the bullet and buy a bigger engine for it.
