TAS Trout Classic - Arthurs/Great Lakes

INFO RELEASED FOR THE TAS TROUT CLASSIC IN OCTOBER......

Hi present and future tournament fisho'
Light Tackle Tournaments Tasmania in conjuction with the LIons Club of Perth will be hosting the 2011 Trout Classic at Arthurs and Great Lakes on the 8th and 9th of OCT
The event will be over 2 days with the placegetters being a combination of the length of total fish caught over the 2 days
Teams will be made up of 2 people of any age as long as 1 has a current boat licence.
Breifing will be held at tha Great Lake Hotel at 8pm Friday the 7th October.
ALL TEAMS MUST ATTEND
Boats must be over 3.7m have all safety equipment including safety lanyards and must be able to plane with 2 people and all gear on board
Lifejackets must be worn at all times.
This comp will be strictly catch and release and artifical lures and flies only (NO BAIT)
Scoring is done by measurement in cm's on a supplied bragmat ,a photo taken with a digital camera with the key tag and recorded on a supplied score sheet.
Camera cards must be supplied with score sheets at the end of each day and will be returned after scoring.
The amount of fish scored is unlimited but each fish must be over 22cm irrespective of trout species or location.
Fishing times are 7am to 2pm,penalties apply for late teams of 22cm per minute that you are late.
Boats will be checked from 6am on each day.
Entry fee is $220 per team for both days
Prizes will be made up of cash and goods and amounts will depend on entry numbers
Entries open 1st September and close end of September as per dates on entry form
Prefish ban applies for 5 days prior to the comp and includes Friday the 7th October

I dont have a boat suitable due to having to sell my beloved tinny due to a bad financial year just gone.
I have a team entering it though that supported by JD LURES.
Keep your eye out for Team "CATCH IT" .
Kero and Nath will be holding up my end I hope.

The organisers wipe the camera memory cards each day sorry. Should have took a few pics on the iPhone!! You forget about that sort of stuff when your fishing hard.
We actually drove past the $100 prize (a bottle with the $100 tag in it) on Sunday morning. It had to be returned by 10am to collect $100 cash.
We had 4 boats on our tail and we were placed second after day 1 with 4m of fish to make up. Decided to keep going. Nearly run them down too, just 3 fish short!!!
