Was told by IFS around 500 fish average 5kgs. Several have been caught, but this lot haven't been as aggressive as previous releases. Also they have sread up and down the lake quicker than normal.

Thanks Adrian.

They sometimes take a while to get their bearings and get hungry enough when they drop fish into Craigbourne. A lot of people I have spoken to say it usually takes a week to ten days before they get hungry enough to start really being aggressive.

I suppose it depends on when they were last fed before release. think1

There was also a release of Atlantics into Brushy Lagoon, not sure how many though or what size.
Will go to their site and check it out.
Here it is.

Big salmon stocked at Brushy Lagoon
(29 May 2014) the IFS stocked 400 Atlantic salmon into Brushy Lagoon. The fish donated by Petuna Aquaculture from their Cressy farm averaged five kilograms in weight and ranged from three to eight kilograms.

Anglers are reminded that there is a five fish bag limit at Brushy Lagoon with only two permitted to be taken over 600 mm in length.

In the SA fishing forum, their was a question put up, what lures for salmon trout, I thought it meant Salmon and trout, so I put up what I use. And little to my knowledge they are Cocky Salmon... Not trout or salmon. Adrian sent me an email as he's an ex' SA and knew what they were.... Thanks for that!!  happydance1
