Devo. Was looking forward to soaking a few pots. Whale head is not out of the question but I fear that will cop an almighty flogging so won't be bothering.

Wonder how many fisho's will buy a license who fish the east before it opens up? Not many I bet!

Just remember Mr U, that if you change your mind you can not have RL caught in the Western Zone  on the water in the Eastern Zone if the Eastern Zone is closed i.e. you can not transit back from around the other side of Whale Head with lobster onboard.

Nah regardless I don't want to catch them badly enough to trek 50 plus Nm each way to soak a few pots.

Won't hurt bruny and betsey etc to be closed a bit longer anyway, just my opinion

Sounds like parts of the East Coast will open up from next Tuesday.
South of Tasman island and north of wineglass bay to ward laws point and maybe some more up flinders way.
