Some nice flies there  goodjob1 nicethread1

After reading the call for salt water flies I thought I'd post a few creations.

Last summer/autumn I was lucky enough to score a few kingies on the long wand. The first three flies were my best producers. I usually anchored and berleyed until they showed up. The squid fly worked best when cast long, allowed to sink beyond the school and then retrieved back through it. The pilchard chunk is fished as you would expect, drifted down the berley trail. The Crease Fly is you as a popper and provides the most visual and therefore exciting action. Once I'd got the fishes attention with a few 'bloops' I'd just sit it there and the the kingies would sip it down like a trout with a dry fly.

I mainly use the slightly worse for wear crab when sight fishing the flats for bream and present it stationary on the bottom, much like setting a trap for tailing trout. It can also be used on a sinking line for flatties.

Thanks to Dan for supporting this comp thumbsup1
