First rainbow trout of the season..
« on: October 26, 2021, 09:31:40 am »
This was from a week or so ago when the Mersey River dropped to a reasonably safe wading level, it was still higher than I would have liked but knowing the river and where to fish it helped.
The weather was pretty good on the day as well, two days after this trip the rain arrived and the river rose again so I haven't been back there since. Each time the rivers get to a safe wading level
the rain seems to arrive the following day and stuffs it up for another week or more.. hopefully it will soon settle down, the rivers drop and water temps rise and it will all be back to normal.

cheers
Adrian..

Love the look of that stretch of water, Adrian.  A couple of very nice little rainbows, too.

Doesn't it quicken the pulse when you see one feeding like that one you spotted?!

Thanks Paul, it's does give one an adrenaline rush that's for sure, even more so when the trout were in such shallow water..

cheers
Adrian
